The quality of our products

The wool used to make our scarves and stoles comes exclusively from the part of the goat with the finest wool, along its soft underbelly. Naturally it is less abundant in these parts, which is why the animal in order to protect itself from the cold has to develop longer and warmer fur.

The Nepalese savoir-faire is excellent. The art of working with the cashmere in this country is transmitted from generation to generation. We have selected as our suppliers those who have kept this artisanal spirit. Fifteen stages are needed for the creation of a hand-made stole.

A designer product must be of quality, which is why all our pashminas are meticulously verified before packing and closing the packaging with tape and our trade mark.

What you should look out for

Some products can appear very similar to the touch with a low price that beats all the competition.

A lot of people are unaware that there are several qualities of cashmere. The poorer quality is extracted from the back of the goat. The animal frequently rubs against stones, the fur is broken and shorter. The better quality, comes from the neck to the belly is less abundant. The fur is therefore longer, softer and warmer.

The quality, the durability, the softness and the warmth of your pashmina justify this difference in price.

You should also pay attention to the dimensions, the varies markedly.

Some firms claim you should buy Scottish or Italian cashmere, because that is what they sell. Don't forget that cashmere comes from the Himalayas and that the Nepalese have an authentic artisanal knowledge. They choose the raw materials like few European buyers can. You only have to go to Nepal to realise this.

Washing

In order to keep your pashmina at its best we recommend dry cleaning.
